The tragic passing of Nollywood actress Adejumoke Aderounmu has stirred controversy on social media, with popular movie star Funke Akindele facing criticism from the late actress’s brother.

Shortly after news of Adejumoke’s demise circulated online, Adeola Aderounmu, the late actress’s brother, took to social media to express his grievances against Funke Akindele.

Akindele, known for her role in the hit series “Jenifa’s Diary,” had joined others in mourning Adejumoke’s death on social media.

In a series of Instagram stories, Adeola shared screenshots of Akindele’s condolence message and accused her of only showing up for the camera. He went on to advise people to steer clear of individuals like her.

Additionally, Adeola claimed that despite reaching out to Akindele on several occasions, she did not provide support or assistance to the family, even when they sent someone to her.

The criticism escalated as Adeola accused Akindele of engaging in eye-service and praised other top actresses like Rita Dominic and Sotayo Gaga for their genuine support.

He alleged that Akindele only acts charitably when it suits her agenda, labeling her as a “terrible person.”
