Nigerian actress Lola Alao, a prominent figure in the Yoruba film industry, has announced the passing of her mother.

The Canadian-based actress, 55, shared the heartbreaking news on her Instagram page on Friday, posting pictures of her mother, including cherished moments they shared together.

In a heartfelt tribute, Alao expressed her deep love and sorrow, praying for her mother’s soul to rest in peace.

“Rest In perfect peace my beautiful mom,” she wrote.
