Following the decision of Diamond Bank to publish her name amongst the list of persons owing it, former member of the House of Representatives, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has filed a libel suit in Lagos High Court against the financial institute.

The bank had recently released its list, which named Dabiri as being affiliated with Thriller Endeavours, a company which owes a debt of N122 million, a list that was published by the Punch Newspapers.

She revealed via her Twitter handle on Thursday, August 6, that she has filed a suit against the two organisations, demanding a retraction and an apology from them.

If Diamond Bank decides to go that path, they won’t be alone. Yesterday, FCMB had to apologise to Olatunde Ayeni for including his name on their own list.
