President Buhari Appoints Uja Tor Uja as NCPC Boss

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Uja Tor Uja as the executive secretary of Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC).

He takes over from John Kennedy Opera who was relieved of his post on Friday last week.

In a statement by Assistant Director (Press), Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mohammed T. K. Nakorji, the appointment of Uja takes immediate effect for a period of five years.

The statement reads,” His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, has approved the appointment of Mr. Uja Tor Uja, as the Executive Secretary, Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC). The appointment, which takes immediate effect, is for a period of five years.

“Mr. Uja graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication from University of Lagos, in 1981. ‎He obtained Master’s Degree in International Relations and Strategic Studies from University of Jos in 1987.

“Before his appointment, Mr. Uja was a Commissioner of Commerce and Industries, Hon. Commissioner of Information and Social Development, Benue State and Benue State PFN Chairman.”
