Dangote Plans $10m Tomatoes Production Plant In Kaduna

The Africa richest man and President of the Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, yesterday declared intention to establish a $10M US tomatoes production plant in Kaduna State.

Dangote, who spoke briefly through a representative at First Kaduna Economic and Investment Summit , (KadIvest)said apart from contributing to economic fortunes of the state, the company will also improve standard of living of tomatoes farmers as well as creating thousands of direct and indirect jobs for Kaduna populace.

The British high commissioner to Nigeria, Paul Arkwright in his brief remarks said Kaduna state is a global business destination.

Paul Arkwright said in just over 6 months that he has been in Nigeria he has visited Kaduna State three times and is confident that the policies and programmes of El-Rufai will transform the State.

Though, the high commissioner who agreed that the British government has not done enough in the area of infrastructures in Nigeria, was confidence that Kaduna is a place where people can confidently do business.

The summit which had in attendance the governors of Kebbi and Bauchi states, also had alongside Chief executives of Multinational Organizations and Entrepreneurs of global repute.

The governor of Bauchi state, Barrister Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, and Governor of Kebbi state Senator Atiku Bagudu in their goodwill messages commended El-Rufai for the ground breaking move to move the State forward.
