Seyi Shay has signed a recording deal with Island Records UK, a division of music corporation, Universal Music.

The singer currently promoting her new single, ‘Jangilova‘, has penned a recording contract with the music giants in London.

Shay took to her social media accounts to break the news, uploading a photo which pictures at the Island Records office.

“FINALLY!! this is what most of us work so hard for. We spend most of our lives chasing this 1 opportunity to reach the world through a giant platform like this! I can’t believe it.. @islandrecordsuk and I have signed a GLOBAL recording contract this evening in London. I give God ALL the glory!! Island Records also confirmed the news tweeting at Seyi Shay to welfome her into their fold. “Exciting times, welcome iamseyishay !cc J_MGT”

Island Records is a major American record label that operates as a division of Universal Music Group. It was founded by Chris Blackwell, Graeme Goodall, and Leslie Kong in Jamaica and has been based in the United Kingdom since 1962.
