A group, South-South Actualization Movement for Muhammadu Buhari, has asked the All Progressives Congress (APC) to pick the former head of state as its presidential candidate because his credentials are more impressive than those of other aspirants.
Other aspirants on the party’s platform are a former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, Governor Rabi’u Kwankwaso of Kano State, and the founder of the Leadership newspaper, Sam Nda-Isaiah.
“In the light of the above, history now beckon on General Mohammed Buhari (GMB) to answer the patriotic call of service by millions of Nigerians.”
“We the entire members of South-South Project Actualisation Movement for GMB are sending a strong message to the leadership of APC and also wish to put the leadership of APC on notice based on recent development and the forthcoming presidential election. It is the millions of APC members across the country and those non-APC members but want APC to take over governance through GMB that will vote for APC,” the group said.
The party’s presidential primary election is scheduled for December 8.
