Popular Yoruba actress, Ronke Ojo aka Ronke Oshodi Oke, has alleged that Igbo producers frustrated efforts of Yoruba actresses to star in non-indigenious language speaking movies.

The Nollywood actress, who threw her weight behind Lagos State governor elect, Akinwunmi Ambode, recently took to her Instagram account to allege that she and several Yoruba speaking actresses have been frustrated out of the non-indigenious language speaking movies.

In her words on her Instagram post on Monday, April 13, 2015, she wrote, “Good day my beautiful people, I don’t have anything against any candidate I’m not a politician but an Ibo man who never betray his brother for a Yoruba man lailai. For an example the Ibo producers in our industry frustrated almost all the Yoruba’s out of the English speaking Nollywood or you have to Change your name to be with them so y will he do that to us his brothers and sisters? That’s the only thing I don’t like, he can as well use any other strategy. Thanks and God bless you all.”
