In a show of strong political unity, Kogi State Governor Ahmed Ododo and APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje have expressed firm belief in President Bola Tinubu’s victory in the 2027 presidential election. They attribute this confidence to the impactful reforms and strategic governance demonstrated by Tinubu’s administration.
Speaking during a visit to the APC National leadership in Abuja, Governor Ododo reaffirmed his commitment to the party and its manifesto, promising to implement “purposeful and people-centred governance” in Kogi State. He lauded President Tinubu’s transformative economic policies, which he said are already reshaping Nigeria’s national economy.
Ododo remarked, “We are grateful to our National Leader and President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his bold and transformative policies that are already reshaping our national economy and laying the foundation for long-term prosperity.” He also acknowledged the President’s “unwavering support” for Kogi State and pledged “unflinching loyalty and massive support in 2027 and beyond.”
The Governor highlighted Tinubu’s courageous decisions in sectors such as petroleum and monetary policy, calling them “tough but necessary” for the nation’s benefit. He confidently predicted a resounding victory for Tinubu, stating, “His patriotic actions will earn him a second term.”
Ododo detailed his administration’s achievements over 14 months, including improved security, enhanced agricultural productivity, infrastructure development, and expanded social services. He credited these accomplishments with boosting the APC’s credibility and public trust in Kogi.
He further emphasized the success of an inclusive governance model that prioritizes youth and women’s participation, saying, “We have created a new generation of decision-makers, infused fresh ideas into governance, and given hope to a large number of our population.”
National Chairman Ganduje praised Ododo for maintaining a positive working relationship with his predecessor, Yahaya Bello, noting this as a significant achievement in Nigerian politics. He commended Ododo’s swift commissioner appointments as a sign of strong leadership.
Ganduje stressed that the APC governs “with knowledge, not by trial and error,” and promised research into improving successor-predecessor dynamics. He described the APC as a “vibrant and dynamic party” growing under Tinubu’s reforms, which have enhanced citizens’ welfare.
“We are proud of governors like you who are making significant developmental strides in their states,” Ganduje said, assuring ongoing party support for Kogi State’s progress.
