In a devastating incident on Saturday night, nine people lost their lives in a fatal auto accident in Kyaramma village, located within Ringim Local Government Area of Jigawa State. The collision involved two Golf 3 saloon cars and left several others injured.

The accident occurred around 8:00 p.m. when the two vehicles collided head-on, according to the Jigawa State Police Command. The Police Public Relations Officer, Shiisu Adam, who spoke to journalists in Dutse, the state capital, disclosed that one of the vehicles bore the registration number Kaduna MKA 687 AY and was driven by 35-year-old Adamu Sunusi from Hadejia LGA. Sunusi was en route from Abuja to Gujungu town.

The other vehicle, registered KWL 606 KA, was driven by 30-year-old Bashari Danjummai from Sauna Area, Nassarawa LGA, Kano State. Danjummai was traveling from Hadejia to Kano.

Upon receiving the distress call, officers from the Motor Traffic Department promptly rushed to the scene to provide assistance. The injured were immediately transported to Ringim General Hospital for medical attention.
