In a strategic effort to bolster the leadership of federal tertiary institutions, President Bola Tinubu has officially appointed 36 individuals to serve on the governing councils of Federal Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education nationwide.

The appointments were disclosed in a statement by Bayo Onanuga, the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy.

The statement, titled ‘President Tinubu announces more appointments for federal institutions,’ was signed and released on Wednesday, confirming that the appointees will take office immediately.

The appointments span institutions in all six geopolitical zones, reflecting a diverse group of professionals and public figures. For instance, Hon. Chidi Nwogu from Imo State was appointed to the African Aviation and Aerospace University in Abuja, while Dr. Folashade Mulikat Kareem from Kwara State will serve at the University of Jos.
