The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has commenced rescheduling the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for 379,997 affected candidates.

The rescheduling started Thursday morning following an announcement by the JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, during a press briefing in Abuja on Wednesday. Oloyede acknowledged errors in the previous exams, which impacted 206,610 candidates in 65 centers across Lagos and 173,387 candidates in 92 centers in the South-East.

He stated, “The affected candidates will begin receiving text messages for their rescheduled exams starting tomorrow,” adding an apology and taking full responsibility for the mishap.

A reprinted exam slip sighted by okay.ng revealed that some candidates have been rescheduled to retake their exams on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at designated centers such as Igando in Lagos State’s Alimosho Local Government Area.
