Governors Ademola Adeleke (Osun), Caleb Mutfwang (Plateau), Seyi Makinde (Oyo), and Ahmadu Fintiri (Adamawa) have arrived at the Bauchi Governor’s Lodge in Abuja for an important Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholders meeting. Other governors present include Peter Mbah (Enugu) and Dauda Lawal (Zamfara).

The meeting also features prominent party figures such as PDP Acting National Chairman Umar Damagum; Board of Trustees Secretary and former Kaduna Governor Ahmed Makarfi; former governors Seriake Dickson (Bayelsa), Olagunsoye Oyinlola (Osun), Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu), Samuel Ortom (Benue), Bukola Saraki (Kwara), Babangida Muazu (Niger), Adamu Muazu (Bauchi), Aminu Waziri Tambuwal (Sokoto), Sule Lamido (Jigawa), and Udom Emmanuel (Akwa Ibom).

The PDP Governors’ Forum, led by Bauchi Governor Bala Mohammed, convened the meeting to secure support for decisions made at a previous gathering in Ibadan, aimed at resolving the party’s ongoing crisis. Key agenda items include the position of National Secretary, preparations for the National Elective Convention, the National Executive Committee meeting scheduled for May 27, and strategies to curb recent defections from the party.

okay.ng reported that invitations were extended to former governors, Board of Trustees members, and National Working Committee members to deliberate on the party’s current challenges. The meeting is seen as a pivotal step to unify the party ahead of critical upcoming events.
