Nigerian music superstar Davido has revealed that he employs and personally pays over 70 staff members working across his global business operations.
Speaking during a recent interview on Ride Along hosted by Darryl Vega TV, the Grammy-nominated singer opened up about the scale of his business empire, which spans across Nigeria and other parts of the world.
“I have local and international employees, the salary is a lot. I pay more than 70 to 80 people,” Davido stated during the interview.
The 32-year-old entertainer, whose real name is David Adeleke, emphasized the financial responsibility that comes with running a growing network of ventures.
He noted that his staff are based both at home and abroad, and that their salaries represent a significant commitment.
Davido, widely known for hits like Assurance, recently released his fifth studio album titled 5ive. This project follows a successful run of albums including Omo Baba Olowo (2012), A Good Time (2019), A Better Time (2020), and Timeless (2023).
Since his breakout moment with the 2012 anthem Dami Duro, Davido has grown into one of Africa’s most influential entertainers, building a brand that extends into fashion, media, logistics, and philanthropy.
Okay.ng reports that his revelation has drawn attention to the often overlooked side of celebrity life, where success comes with the burden of leadership, employment, and global management.
