Renowned human rights lawyer Femi Falana, SAN has urged Nigerian youths to reclaim the country from older generation, okay.ng reports.

He emphasized that things are not as they used to be and that the younger generation has a duty to redefine Nigeria as it should be.

Falana made these remarks at the sixth Annual Youth Leadership Conference in Lagos, The theme of the conference was “RISE,” which stands for Resilience, Innovation, Social Responsibility, and Entrepreneurship, organized by the Emerging Leaders Foundation which took place at the J.F. Ade Ajayi Auditorium, University of Lagos on Saturday, April 12, 2025. The theme was described as a call to action and a declaration of intent for building a better future for Nigeria, where Femi Falana encouraged youths to challenge those in power and become leaders of today rather than waiting for tomorrow.

He highlighted the need for youths to take action due to the current state of the country, which he believes has deviated from the dreams of his generation.
