According to a report by a leading Television Station in Nigeria, they reported the death of a final year student of Kwara State College of Education Ilorin.

Yetunde Lawal, a young woman, has tragically lost her life in a horrifying incident involving a man she reportedly met through social media. According to reports she was allegedly murdered by the suspect who is said to be her boyfriend, who then went on to dismember her body, reportedly for ritualistic purposes.

The Kwara State Police Command has confirmed the gruesome crime, revealing that an investigation is underway. Law enforcement authorities have apprehended the suspect, who is currently in custody as they work to uncover the full details of the crime.

Miss Yetunde was declared missing last Monday which prompted her family to report the case to the police in Ilorin.

Investigators traced the last known call to an individual living in Offa Ilorin. Upon his arrest the suspect initially denied any involvement in her disappearance but the search of his residence led to his confession.

He claimed Yetunde died of an asthma attack after he invited her over. Meanwhile the Kwara State Police spokesperson Adetoun Adeyemi confirmed that the authorities are aware of the tragic accident.
