Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Igboho, has dismissed rumours circulating on social media that he has passed away.

In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Olayomi Koiki, the Yoruba Nation agitator described the reports as “false and misleading,” reassuring the public that he is alive and in good health.

The rumour, which originated from a post on the Seyi Tinubu Youth Battalion Facebook page, claimed Igboho had died and promised further details.

Koiki, however, clarified that the post was baseless and a deliberate attempt to tarnish Igboho’s reputation and disrupt the ongoing Yoruba Nation movement.

“We want to assure the general public and supporters of the Yoruba Nation movement that Dr. Chief Sunday Adeyemo Igboho is alive, well, and in high spirits,” Koiki said.

“There is no truth to the rumors being spread by certain individuals and groups trying to mislead the public. This is a deliberate attempt to tarnish his image and derail the ongoing self-determination struggle.”

Koiki added that Igboho is currently spending time with his family and remains committed to the Yoruba Nation cause.

“Let it be known that our mission for the self-determination of the Yoruba people remains strong and unshaken. We call on our supporters to remain vigilant and focused on our collective goal,” he said.
