The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has commenced the accreditation process for Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

This was disclosed in a statement on Sunday by Fabian Benjamin, JAMB’s spokesperson.

Benjamin said CBT centres that successfully participated in the 2024 UTME without issues should express their interest via the board’s Centre Management System (CMS) portal.

He also outlined requirements for new centres interested in participating in the 2025 exercise.

“All new centres willing to participate in the 2025 UTME exercise should visit https://www.jamb.gov.ng/Pdfs/CBT_centre_requirements.pdf to view the requirements for establishing a JAMB-approved CBT centre,” the statement reads.

New centres must notify the board of their intentions by writing to the registrar of JAMB through their respective zonal director or state coordinator.

Zonal and state offices will assist new centres by creating accounts on the CMS portal to facilitate registration.

Benjamin emphasized the importance of conducting an autobot/autotest as a prerequisite for the physical accreditation visit by JAMB officials.

“The autobot/autotest is mandatory; only centres that successfully complete this test and meet the necessary criteria will be eligible for a physical visit,” he said.

Only centres that pass the autobot/autotest will proceed to the physical accreditation stage, scheduled for next month. Those that do not meet the required standards during the test will not be reconsidered.

“Centres that meet all stipulated requirements will be approved and included by the board for the 2025 UTME registration and examination,” Benjamin added.
