Erotic videos featuring Baltasar Ebang Engonga, better known as “Bello” and currently the Director General of the National Financial Investigation Agency (ANIF), have been circulating widely on social media, raising concerns about public health and integrity within Equatorial Guinea’s leadership.

Engonga, who is currently detained on separate corruption charges, reportedly filmed the explicit scenes with multiple women, allegedly with their consent.

In the videos, Engonga is seen engaging in unprotected sexual activities with several women, some of whom are married to influential figures in the country.

The scenes reportedly take place in various locations, including hotel rooms, private residences, and even Engonga’s office within the Ministry of Finance.

The women involved include high-profile figures, from married individuals to well-known single women considered among the most “influential” in Equatorial Guinea.

The Attorney General of the Republic addressed the scandal, clarifying that the country’s laws do not criminalize consensual sexual acts unless coercion or violence is involved.

However, the Attorney General expressed significant concerns about potential health risks, specifically regarding the spread of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs).

The explicit videos, combined with the apparent lack of protection, raise serious public health concerns that extend beyond the individuals involved to their partners and the broader community.

Attorney General Nzang Nguema emphasized the need for victims to feel safe in reporting incidents of sexual assault or coercion, highlighting the importance of a supportive environment for such disclosures.

He stressed that while the current videos do not indicate forced participation, the situation underscores the need for stronger public awareness around health risks and responsible behavior.
