Nollywood actor Saheed Balogun has announced the tragic death of his daughter, Zeenat Balogun, leaving the entertainment industry and fans in mourning.

The actor shared the heartbreaking news on Saturday via his verified Instagram account, posting a solemn image of a candlelight surrounded by flowers, accompanied by heartbroken emojis.

The devastating news was confirmed by fellow Nollywood actress Ronke Oshodi Oke, who also took to Instagram to express her grief.

Posting an image of a candle, she wrote, “No words can ease the pain of losing someone so precious. My heart goes out to you @saidibalogun during this incredibly difficult time. May you find strength in the love and support surrounding you.”

Popular actress and Zeenat’s stepmother, Fathia Balogun, shared her sorrow in an Instagram post that read, “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un” — a phrase signifying submission to God’s will.

Other Nollywood actors, including Kunle Afod and Adeniyi Johnson, have also expressed their condolences, joining a growing number of well-wishers in mourning the young life lost.

As of the time of this report, the cause of Zeenat Balogun’s death remains unknown. Fans and colleagues continue to offer prayers and support to the Balogun family during this difficult time.
