The blast, suspected to be caused by dynamite, caused damage to buildings and property at the All Progressives Congress secretariat along Aba Road in Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State, Okay.ng reports.

The explosion destroyed the gate, doors, windows, and other property at the secretariat.

This is the second time this year that the Chief Tony Okocha-led APC has experienced such an attack at its secretariat.

The incident occurred as the local government elections were set to take place in the state, with the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission confirming on Friday that all sensitive materials had been distributed to the various local government areas.
