Edo State Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu, has disclosed that he is now spiritually aligned with the All Progressives Congress (APC), although he remains a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on paper.

Shaibu, who was recently reinstated as deputy governor, made this revelation on Arise TV’s morning show, stating that his spirit has left the PDP, and he is ready to defect to the APC officially.

When questioned about his support for the APC governorship candidate in Edo, Shaibu cited the constitution, which allows individuals to support candidates of their choice and belong to any political party.

He clarified that his body and legs are still in the PDP, but his spirit has already joined the APC. Shaibu confirmed that he has not officially declared his defection, but his PDP party card remains with him, and he is yet to obtain an APC party card.
