The prices of cooking gas have witnessed a notable reduction across the nation. As of today, May 6, 2024, the cost of essential household cooking gas has significantly decreased from previous weeks, offering a respite to many households.

Recent data obtained from a comprehensive survey conducted by Okay.ng reveals the encouraging downward trend in cooking gas prices.

Just a few weeks ago, consumers were burdened with exorbitant prices, with cooking gas priced as high as ₦1,300 per kg. However, the latest survey indicates a substantial reduction in prices, bringing relief to consumers amidst ongoing economic challenges.

According to the survey findings, the current price reductions vary across different cylinder sizes, with consumers benefiting from more affordable options compared to recent weeks. For instance, the price per kilogram now stands at ₦900, marking a significant decrease from the previous rate of ₦1,300.
