Nigerian filmmaker and actress, Funke Akindele, has expressed her sadness over the passing of Adejumoke Aderounmu, who was popularly known for her role as Esther in the hit television series ‘Jenifa’s Diary.’

Adejumoke’s death was confirmed today, April 8th, 2024, although the cause of her demise has not been made public.

Taking to her Instagram story, the prominent Nollywood star and creator of ‘Jenifa’s Diary,’ Funke Akindele, paid tribute to her late co-star with a poignant message that read: “Sad!!! Rest well Jumoke.”

Okay.ng had reported that the 37-year-old actress died in the early hours of Saturday, 6th April, 2024.
