Thirty children abducted by bandits in Kasai village, located in the Batsari Local Government Area of Katsina State, have been freed. The rescue operation, conducted by the Katsina State Police Command in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, marks a significant victory against criminal elements operating in the region.

Confirming the development, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Katsina State Police Command, ASP Abubakar Sadiq, expressed satisfaction with the concerted effort that led to the safe release of the abducted children. The children, primarily girls, were seized by the bandits while fetching firewood in the bush on Monday, triggering concerns and prompting immediate action by law enforcement authorities.

Upon receiving the report of the abduction, the Katsina State Police Command swiftly launched an investigation and deployed resources to rescue the kidnapped victims and apprehend the perpetrators. The successful outcome of the operation underscores the commitment of security agencies and community stakeholders to safeguarding the lives and well-being of residents.
