Former Governor of Rivers State and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has disclosed that his friendship with former Governor Peter Odili has encountered difficulties due to political disagreements.
In a recent interview with select TV channels, Wike opened up about the strained relationship with Odili, attributing it to unresolved political differences between them.
Wike, who succeeded Odili as Governor of Rivers State, acknowledged the rocky nature of their current political alliance, stating, “As it is today, politically we don’t have a good relationship. We don’t work today. There are some political differences.”
However, Wike refrained from delving into the specifics of the disagreements that led to the deterioration of their friendship.
Peter Odili, a two-time Governor of Rivers State, handed over the reins of power to Wike’s predecessor, Rotimi Amaechi.
