Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has announced that she will be releasing her highly anticipated debut album later this year.

The Grammy-winning singer shared the exciting news during a recent interview with Billboard, where she opened up about her musical journey and forthcoming project.

In the interview, Tems expressed her unwavering confidence that her debut album would see the light of day in 2024, stating, “It is 1,000% coming out this year… not thinking too much about outcomes.”

The 28-year-old songstress, known for her soulful and captivating sound, also revealed that she is not letting the pressure of expectations affect her approach to the project.

Tems rose to prominence in 2020 following her collaboration with Wizkid on the chart-topping song ‘Essence.’ Her distinct voice and unique style quickly earned her widespread acclaim in the music industry.

In the same year, Tems released her debut extended play (EP) titled ‘For Broken Ears,’ further solidifying her position as one of Nigeria’s most promising talents.
