The Kano State Government has refuted claims of involvement in the ongoing legal proceedings against TikToker Murja Kunya, who stands accused of sharing inappropriate video content, contrary to state laws.

The government, through Commissioner for Information Baba Dantiye, dismissed the allegations as untrue and emphasized its commitment to upholding the separation of powers and the judiciary’s independence.

In a statement issued by Commissioner Baba Dantiye, the government clarified its stance on the matter, asserting its respect for the constitutional provisions delineating the responsibilities of the judiciary, legislature, and executive branches of government.

Dantiye emphasized that the case against Murja Kunya falls solely within the jurisdiction of the judiciary, and the government has no intention of interfering with the legal process.

Despite these developments, the government reiterated its commitment to respecting the sanctity of the constitution and ensuring a fair and just legal outcome for all parties involved.

Concluding the statement, the government urged the public to disregard any attempts to tarnish its reputation, emphasizing its dedication to upholding the rule of law and protecting the integrity of the judicial process.
