Hope Uzodimma has taken the oath of office for a second term as the governor of Imo State. The inauguration, witnessed by thousands of residents and distinguished guests, marked a significant moment for the state.

Lady Chinyere Ekomaru also took her oath as the deputy governor of Imo State just minutes before Uzodimma’s swearing-in. The event, held on Monday, garnered attendance from various political figures, Imo residents, and guests from both within and outside the state.

Among the notable figures present were President Bola Tinubu, former president Olusegun Obasanjo, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, and other chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In his inaugural speech, Governor Uzodimma expressed gratitude to the people of the state for their unwavering support and promised to surpass his achievements from the first term. Drawing inspiration from Apostle Paul in the Bible, he assured Imo residents of his commitment to creating a better future for the state in his second term.
