Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State is to meet with Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Air Staff as a follow-up to the resolution of the state Security Council meeting in Damaturu.

Governor Buni is scheduled to brief the security chiefs on the resolutions of the meeting and the need to intensify security presence along the borders.

The governor would also seek for a joint operation of the army, airforce, and police for clearance of possible undetonated explosive ordnance devices in some suspected areas.

Briefing newsmen after the security meeting, the Special Adviser to Governor Buni on Security Matters, Brig. Gen. Abdulsalam Dahiru (rtd) said suspected gunmen infiltrated into the state and attacked the border village.
