Following a thrilling encounter between Inter Milan and Manchester City at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium on Tuesday.

A side-footed finish from Rodri in the 68th minute was enough to make ths difference.

Rodri’s side-footed finish midway through the second half broke Inter’s resistance and though Federico Dimarco hit the crossbar with a header before Ederson saved sensationally from Romelu Lukaku, City held on to make history.

Okay.ng reports that this is the first time the Citizens will be lifting the shiny trophy of Europe, the UEFA Champions League.

They had clinched the final spot after a 4-0 thrashing of 14-time European Champions, Real Madrid.

Manchester City have now become the sixth English team to win the European Cup/UEFA Champions League, after Aston Villa, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and Nottingham Forest – twice as many sides than any other nation (3 – Germany, Italy and Netherlands).

They are also the second English side to achieve the treble (league title, FA Cup and European Cup/UEFA Champions League), after Manchester United in 1998-99.

It is the second time their manager Pep Guardiola has won the treble, making him the first ever manager to do so with two different clubs (Barcelona in 2008-09 and Manchester City in 2022-23).
