BUK Senate Expels 27 Students and Rusticates 8 Over Examination Misconduct

Bayero University Kano (BUK) has announced the expulsion of 27 students and the rustication of 8 others for their alleged involvement in examination misconduct.

The decision was reached at the Senate’s 400th meeting, held on Thursday, the 26th of January, 2023.

In a statement signed by the Director of Examinations, Admissions, and Records, Hajiya Amina Umar Abdullahi, it was noted that the expulsion and rustication of the affected students were in accordance with Category 20.17 (Ai, iii, iv, v, vi, x and xii) of the University’s General Regulations.

“The Senate at its 400th meeting held on Thursday, January 26, 2023, expelled 27 students and rusticated eight others for allegedly being involved in examination misconducts,” Abdullahi said.

The statement added that 22 other students were however warned by the Senate.
