Buhari reacts to death of Pastor Itua Ighodalo’s wife, Ibidun

Ibidun, the wife of Pastor Itua Ighodalo, is dead.

Okay.ng gathered that the former beauty queen died in the early hours of Sunday morning in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.

In a statement by Asue Ighodalo, the families of the deceased requested for privacy while mourning the late beauty queen.

The statement read: “The Ighodalo and Olaleye Ajayi families are deeply saddened to announce the sudden loss of our beloved wife and daughter Mrs. Ibidunni Ituah-Ighodalo who passed away in the early hours of today.

“As you will understand, this is a difficult time for our families and we will appreciate some privacy during this time. All information of burial proceedings will be provided in due course.”

Reacting to her demise, President Muhammadu Buhari in a statement issued by his spokesman, Femi Adesina, expressed his shock.

According to the President, he shares the pain and sorrow of the family at the sudden death, and prays God’s comfort for the entire family, friends and members of Trinity House.

Buhari recalled that Pastor Ighodalo is one person who faithfully prays for the country, and the government, noting that he sent him a personal letter of condolence when his former Chief of Staff, Mallam Abba Kyari, passed away in April.

He said: “Please accept my condolence. May God give you the fortitude to bear the loss, and strengthen you at this trying time.”
