Stoke City have completed the signing of Sam Vokes from Premier League club, Burnley on Deadline Day.
The 29-year-old will cost Stoke City £7m plus add-ons after signing a three-and-a-half-year contract.
Speaking about the move, Vokes said: “It’s great to have it finally done,”
“It has been a long day and a lot of waiting around but I am delighted – I just can’t wait to get started now.
Stoke manager, Nathan Jones added: “Sam is a player of real pedigree, he has been promoted from this level and he’s an experienced international and Premier League player,”
“To get it done is something totally different to anything we have and we think he’s a marquee player for this level.
“We know he’s a good character so he’ll add something to our dressing room and we’re bringing him in because of his goal-scoring pedigree and what he does.”
