Alexis Sanchez, Paul Pogba and Juan Mata has been singled out by Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho as the root of the club’s problems.

According to The Times, Mourinho slammed the players in a meeting before the club’s 3-1 defeat to West Ham on Saturday.

The Times reports that Mourinho gathered the squad in midweek for a team meeting before their trip to east London and ripped into Sanchez for his poor performances this term.

But Mourinho didn’t stop there, as he unleashed tirades at Pogba, and perhaps more surprisingly, Mata.

Mata was a sub and came on with twenty minutes remaining but could do little to reverse the club’s fortune.

Mata released a short blog post but said he would not be writing much as he felt now was not the time to speak.

“Today, my blog post is shorter than usual. In fact, it isn’t really a time for posts,” said Mata.

“I want to thank all of you who support us during these tough times. I understand your frustrations.”
