The Bauchi Government has declared a three-day mourning over the death of the Senator representing Bauchi South Senatorial District Ali Wakili.

Wakili passed on, Saturday, after a brief illness with flags set to fly at half-mast over the period.

In a statement, Governor Mohammed Abubakar described Wakili as a vibrant Senator whose contributions will be missed on the floor of the Senate Chambers.

According to Abubakar, the lawmakers contributions strengthened the national discourse.
