President Muhammadu Buhari has been advised by the national student body, the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), to dissolve his cabinet.

This is contained in a welcome statement by the NANS president, Comrade Chinonso Obasi.

The group welcomed the president back to the country after he ended his long medical vacation on Saturday evening.

They reiterated their support for him during the trying times and prayed for his continued good health as he takes over the reins of office.

“Ahead of the Mr. President’s broadcast on Monday, NANS calls on him to consider the current issue of urgent national importance and speak to the prevailing indefinite strike declared by ASUU to ensure that Nigerian Students returns to school at the earliest convenience”.

They implored him to hit the ground running and “rejig and reposition his cabinet for effectiveness and efficiency by bringing on board, cerebral, competent, vibrant, contemporary and dynamic young people to herald and stimulate a whole new level of impetus and vibrancy in the administration of the ailing economy.

The students’ body asked that, moving forward, members of its body should be deliberately included in the decision-making processes that concern them.

This, the group opined, would allow them contribute significantly to the growth and development of the nation.
