Jose Mourinho’s father Felix Mourinho has died at age 79 after a long battle with protracted Pneumonia and other illnesses.

The father of the red devil’s manager who made more than 250 appearances as a goalkeeper for Portuguese clubs, Vitoria Setubal and Belenenses lost his live yesterday Sunday, 25th of June

Jose Mourinho who joined Manchester United back in 2016 took to his instagram page to announce the news by posting a touching black and white childhood photo of himself alongside his father.

Felix who was born on the 17th of June 1938 in Ferragudo, Portugal spent a lengthy playing career as a goalkeeper, turning out once for Portugal, and thereafter he spent two decades in the dugout, during which time he would ask his son to compile the scouting reports that ultimately led to Jose being recognized as one of the world’s top and successful coaches.

Reports from the Portuguese media says that his funeral is due to take place on Tuesday, 27th of June.
