1. Tiwa Savage, is a Nigerian singer-songwriter, recording artist, performer and actress.

2. Her birth name is Tiwatope Savage-Balogun

3. Tiwa was born on February 5, 1980.

4. She hails from Isale Eko in Lagos Island.

5. Tiwa Savage was born in Lagos, Nigeria.

6. Her family relocated to UK from Nigeria when she was 11 years old.

7. They later moved from the United Kingdom to the United States.

8. She studied Business Administration from the University of Kent.

9. Tiwa Savage once worked for The Royal Bank of Scotland.

10. She also attended the Berklee College of Music where she earned a professional degree in Music.

11. In 2006 while attending music school, she was a participant in the UK edition of The X-Factor where she only managed to make it into the final 24.

12. She has written songs for international musicians like Babyface, Kat Deluna, Monica and Fantasia.

13. Savage wrote Jaicko’s “Oh Yeah”, featuring Snoop Dogg, and Kat Deluna’s “Push Push”, featuring Akon and David Guetta.
