On Sunday, Sunmbo Adeoye, the mother of Nino, the son of Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia, also known as 2Baba, took to her Instagram account to pen a heartfelt note to her son on his 17th birthday.

In her post, Adeoye expressed her amazement at how quickly time has passed and how proud she is of the person Nino is becoming.

She wrote, “It’s (wow!) 17 years already. You are such a great blessing to my world. I know I can’t count my blessings without counting you twice my “G”. You are such a smart, talented and wise, genius. Your exceptional natural abilities leave me in awe of God.”

Adeoye went on to express her love for Nino, saying “I am speechless son, but I want you to know how much I love you. I want you to always remember that I choose you against all odds because I had no doubt you were worth it. Thank you for choosing me too son.” She also expressed her belief in Nino’s potential for greatness, saying “You bear inside of you, the seed of greatness and you carry within you the wisdom of the most high God.”
