Bauchi State Governor, Malam  Isa Yuguda, has been cleared to contest the Bauchi South Senatorial seat in the 2015 general elections and has been presented with a certificate of clearance by the  Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
A press release issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ishola Michael Adeyemi, said the governor was issued the clearance certificate at the end of the screening of aspirants in Bauchi over the weekend.
The presentation of the clearance certificate has now put to rest speculations that the governor will contest the senatorial seat come 2015 following calls by various PDP stakeholders from the seven LGAs that make up the Bauchi South Senatorial District.
Chairman of the screening panel while presenting the certificate to the governor declared that Yuguda has met all the criteria set up by the party for its aspirants, pointing out that the committee was thorough in the screening exercise.
While receiving the certificate in a brief ceremony, Yuguda commended the screening panel for doing a meticulous job and called on other panels to emulate Bauchi zone,  pointing out that the exercise was devoid of rancour and acrimony as witnessed in other zones.
Isa Yuguda then assured that the party will emerge victorious in the 2015 general elections in the state.
