Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has hinted that Henrikh Mkhitaryan could be sold as doubts remain over the out-of-favour playmaker.

The Armenia star, who was one of Mourinho’s first signings from Borussia Dortmund in 2016, could return to Signal Iduna Park, while reports have claimed the 28-year-old might be used in a swap deal for Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez.

Bayern expecting Goretzka decision in a few days

Leon Goretzka

Bayern Munich expect midfield target Leon Goretzka to decide his Schalke future “in a few days”.

Goretzka, 22, has entered the final six months of his Schalke contract and is able to talk to other clubs about a potential free transfer at the end of the season.

The likes of Barcelona, Liverpool and Juventus are rumoured to be interested in the Germany international, but Bayern are leading the chase.

Keita not joining Liverpool in January

Naby Keita

Liverpool will not be completing the £57 million signing of Naby Keita until the summer, RB Leipzig have announced, with a January switch ruled out.

Having spent much of the last transfer window pursuing a deal for the Guinea international, an agreement was eventually reached for the midfielder to move ahead of the 2018-19 season.

The Reds had hoped to use some of the money recouped from the sale of Coutinho to bring Keita’s arrival at Anfield forward, but the player’s current club will not sanction an early switch.

 Spurs leading Amiri chase

Nadiem Amiri Hoffenheim

Tottenham are leading the chase to sign highly-rated Hoffenheim playmaker Nadiem Amiri, reports Sport Bild.

The 21-year-old is under contract at Hoffenheim until 2020, but has a €17 million release clause and is wanted in the Premier League following an impressive first half of the season.

Arsenal and Manchester United are also interested in Amiri amid suggestions he will leave Hoffenheim in the summer at the latest.

Villa wait on Man Utd’s Tuanzebe answer

Tuanzebe

Aston Villa are waiting for Manchester United to respond to their offer to sign Axel Tuanzebe on loan, reports the Mirror.

United boss Jose Mourinho is considering letting Tuanzebe go out on loan for the second half of the season, but is concerned about having sufficient cover in his squad.

That has led to worries at Villa that the Championship club will miss out on a deal for the versatile defender before the January transfer window closes.

 Conte delays Kenedy loan move

Kenedy Chelsea

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is delaying Kenedy’s move to Newcastle until he has signed a replacement, according to the Evening Chronicle.

Newcastle have agreed a deal to sign the Brazilian on loan for the rest of the season and the player is keen to move to St James’ Park.

However, Conte does not want to confirm the loan deal until he has been able to add to his own squad in the transfer window.

 Wilshere not expecting January deal

Jack Wilshere Arsenal

Jack Wilshere is not expecting to sign a new contract at Arsenal during the January transfer window, with the midfielder prepared to be patient.

The England international is among those at Emirates Stadium set to hit free agency at the end of the season if fresh terms are not put in place.

No Alexis in Arsenal squad as January exit looms

Alexis Sanchez, Arsenal

Alexis Sanchez didn’t travel with the Arsenal squad to Bournemouth and won’t feature in Sunday’s Premier League match, Goal has learned.

The 29-year-old is subject of a transfer tussle between Manchester United and Manchester City this month, with Pep Guardiola’s side refusing to budge on their £25 million offer for the Chilean.

Oblak admits to no deal talks

Jan Oblak Atletico Madrid

Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak admits he has not held talks with the club regarding a new contract.

Regarded as one of the best keepers in the world, Slovenia international Oblak has been linked with the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool.

 West Ham want Fellaini

Marouane Fellaini Manchester United

West Ham are weighing up a move for Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini as his contract runs down, claims the Daily Star.

Hammers boss David Moyes has previously worked with the Belgian at Everton and Old Trafford and is eager on another reunion.

 Liverpool enter chase for Alexis

Alexis Sanchez Arsenal Chelsea

Liverpool are ready to battle Manchester United and City for the signature of Alexis Sanchez, reports the Mirror.

The Chilean’s future has become increasingly unclear in January, with United muscling in on a player who seemed destined for the Etihad Stadium.

And now the Reds are prepared to spend a portion of the massive fee earned on Philippe Coutinho’s sale to clinch the Arsenal forward.

 De Bruyne drops future hint

Kevin De Bruyne Manchester City

Kevin De Bruyne has hinted that he will be signing a new contract at Manchester City, stating that he has “no feeling to go anywhere else”.

The Belgium international remains locked in talks with the Premier League leaders, but could be close to putting pen to paper.

De Boer: Liverpool would suit Zaha

Wilfried Zaha Crystal Palace

Frank de Boer feels Liverpool would be a great option for Wilfried Zaha, who could “play for a much bigger club than Crystal Palace”, according to the Dutchman.

“Liverpool would be a great club for him, but I’m going to see what he does in the future,” he said. “I’m very interested in him because I think he has a great potential.”

 Rahman extension discussed

Abdul Rahman Baba

Schalke are hoping that Chelsea will agree to let Baba Rahman remain with the club past the end of his current loan agreement.

Christian Heidel, sporting director at the Bundesliga outfit, has told Sky Deutschland: “There is interest and Chelsea are aware of that. We are talking. It is about the conditions and of course money and the duration. We have to sort that out calmly and then there will be a decision.”

 Suso back to Anfield?

Suso, AC Milan

Liverpool are considering a move to bring Suso back to Anfield from AC Milan, reports Tuttosport.

The Spanish forward left England in 2015 after struggling to make an impact, but he has impressed in Italy and caught the Reds’ eye once again.

‘Alexis should snub Utd and join City’

Alexis Sanchez

Alexis Sanchez should snub interest from Manchester United and link up with City instead, says former Old Trafford favourite Rio Ferdinand.

The Arsenal forward finds himself at a transfer tug-of-war between two fierce rivals, with a shock scramble for his signature having been sparked.

Ferdinand has told BT Sport on the saga: “If he has an option now to go from Arsenal to Manchester City or Manchester United, as a footballer who wanted to win trophies and be judged on trophies, Manchester City looks like the place to go.”

 Inter closing on double deal

Ramires Jiangsu Suning

Inter are closing in on deals for former Chelsea midfielder Ramires and Barcelona star Rafinha, says Corriere dello Sport.

Ramires is currently in China with Jiangsu Suning, while his fellow Brazil international Rafinha has struggled for fitness and game time at Camp Nou.

A double deal could be tied up by the Serie A title hopefuls in the next few days.

 Messi wants Odriozola at Barca

ALVARO ODRIOZOLA REAL SOCIEDAD LALIGA

Lionel Messi wants Alvaro Odriozola at Barcelona, reports Don Balon.

According to the report, Messi wants the 22-year-old from Real Sociedad to play on the right side, with the Liga giants currently lacking natural right wingers.

But Barca will have competition from Real Madrid for his services, with Florentino Perez having already shown an interest in his signature.

 Hazard has Man Utd offer

Eden Hazard Chelsea

Eden Hazard has told Real Madrid that he has an offer from Manchester United, according to Don Balon.

The Chelsea playmaker has been heavily linked with the Blancos and is looking to force them into making an approach by making them aware of other interest.

 Mou drops Alexis hint

Alexis Sanchez Arsenal Crystal Palace

Jose Mourinho has hinted at a possible swoop for Alexis Sanchez, saying that Manchester United had no plans on signing players this winter but that sometimes chances pop up that can’t be ignored.

“If there is a fantastic opportunity on the table, you fight for that fantastic opportunity. If it happens, it happens.”

Man United compete with Chelsea for Alex Sandro

Alex Sandro Juventus

Manchester United plan to battle Chelsea for Juventus full-back Alex Sandro, according to the Mirror.

Jose Mourinho believes Juve’s £53 million-rated star is the right man to shore up his defence, although United are unlikely to firm up their interest until the summer.

 Allardyce awaiting Walcott updates

Theo Walcott Arsenal West Ham

Everton manager Sam Allardyce is awaiting further updates over the signing of Arsenal’s Theo Walcott.

“I don’t know at the moment,” Allardyce said. “I will have to see tonight or tomorrow [Sunday] what the situation is.”

Alexis to earn far more at Man United than City

Alexis Sanchez Arsenal

Alexis Sanchez will earn up to £60,000-a-week more if he opts for Manchester United over rivals City, claims the Sun.

Pep Guardiola is a big admirer of his former Barcelona charge, but is willing to go as high as a  £20 million fee and £290,000-a-week for his services.

Not only will United gazump their neighbours by some £10m, but they are also prepared to offer as much as £350,000-a-week to land the Arsenal star in January.

No early Liverpool move for Keita?

Naby Keita

RB Leipzig coach Ralf Rangnick has denied Liverpool have made an offer to sign Naby Keita in January.

“Neither the player has told us that he wants to change, nor is there an offer from Liverpool,” he said on Saturday.

 Blues plot Suarez approach

Denis Suarez Barcelona

Chelsea are considering a move for Barcelona forward Denis Suarez as they target replacements for Michy Batshuayi, says the Daily Star.

The Blues are set to see their attacking ranks depleted by a loan move for their Belgium international frontman.

A proposed switch to Sevilla will leave them short on options, but Antonio Conte is eager to land a Spain international who is struggling for minutes at Camp Nou.

Hodgson lines up first Palace signing

Roy Hodgson Crystal Palace

Roy Hodgson is ready to make Getafe’s Vicente Guaita his first signing as Crystal Palace manager, reports the Daily Mail.

Hodgson landed at Selhurst Park after a dreadful start to the Premier League season, and after a shaky start has pulled the Eagles as high as 12th.

The manager, however, wants a new goalkeeper, and has turned his attention to Guaita.

 Liverpool still hopeful over Goretzka

Leon Goretzka

Liverpool are still hopeful of snatching Leon Goretzka out of Bayern Munich’s grasp, according to the Mirror.

The Schalke prospect is in high demand, as his contract is up at the end of the season.

But while Bayern are hot favourites to sign the midfielder, Liverpool will not give up the pursuit and contact has been made with Goretzka’s agents.

Madrid to swap Bale for Salah

Mohamed Salah Liverpool

Real Madrid could use Gareth Bale as bait in order to land Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, claims Don Balon.

Salah’s sensational form this season has caught the eye of the Merengue, who have struggled to score goals.

And they would be prepared to sacrifice their record signing to convince Liverpool into selling the Egypt star.

Saints miss out on Van Dijk replacement

2017-12-26 Manuel Akanji Basel

Southampton’s efforts to find Virgil van Dijk’s successor have suffered a setback as Basel’s Manuel Akanji opted for Borussia Dortmund, according to the Sun.

The centre-back had previously been linked with Liverpool prior to Van Dijk’s arrival, but is set to move to the Bundesliga for a fee of £20 million.

Kane could revitalise Madrid’s forward line

Harry Kane Tottenham Everton

Goal chief correspondent Peter Staunton believes Harry Kane is the man who could get Real Madrid firing again, although it may come too late to save Zinedine Zidane’s job.

Madrid’s woes in front of goal were laid bare on Saturday as they went down to Villarreal, while Kane helped himself to a double in Spurs’ 4-0 thrashing of Everton.

Man Utd ready €500m Neymar bid

Neymar PSG Paris Saint-Germain

Manchester United are readying a record-breaking €500 million offer for Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar, according to Le 10 Sport.

Real Madrid were reported to be leading the chase for the Brazilian, but they can only go as high as €400m.

That has left the door open for Jose Mourinho to join the chase and agree to meet an eye-watering buyout clause.
