108 Terrorists Killed, 241 Hostages Rescued by Military in One Week – DHQ

The Nigerian military has announced a major success in its operations against terrorists, reporting the elimination of 108 terrorists and the rescue of 214 kidnapped hostages across the country within one week.

According to Major General Edward Buba, Director of Defence Media Operations, troops also apprehended 204 suspected terrorists and recovered a large cache of weapons and ammunition, including assorted rifles, machine guns, and explosives.

The military’s operations, conducted under various missions, including Operation Hadin Kai, Safe Haven, and Whirl Stroke, resulted in significant successes in the North East, North Central, and North West regions.

In the North East, 47 terrorists were neutralized, 18 suspects arrested, and 130 hostages rescued. Additionally, 622 terrorists surrendered to troops, including 90 adult males, 182 adult females, and 350 children.

The military also conducted successful air interdiction missions, targeting terrorist hideouts and logistics, resulting in the destruction of several terrorist structures and the neutralization of many terrorists.
