Former Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho may have dropped what can be described as the biggest hint yet that he is about to take Manchester United job as removal men were spotted outside his London home on Monday packing out his property.
According to reports in The Sun UK (with pictures), removal men were seen moving property out of the former Real Madrid coach’s residence in boxes just hours after United manager, Louis Van Gaal was sacked.
Mourinho was spotted outside the swanky London address as his possessions were loaded into a van.
Louis van Gaal was sacked on Monday despite leading the Old Trafford club to its first FA Cup crown in twelve years at Wembley on Saturday.
Mourinho, 53, is overwhelming favourite to replace the Dutchman and has made no secret of his desire to take over at Old Trafford.
The former Chelsea manager’s representatives are set to meet the United hierarchy on Tuesday to negotiate terms.
But it appears that an agreement may be a mere formality as the Portuguese boss had already started packing boxes at his London home.
The three-time Prem winner led Chelsea to title glory last season — but was axed in December after a disatrous start to the campaign.
Mourinho is set to be backed with £150million to completely overhaul United’s squad and could bring as many as SEVEN new players to the club.
His first signing is expected to be out-of-contract Swedish superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic who is reportedly set to agree a £300k-a-week deal.
