Leicester City 2-1 Tottenham (Premier League)
Tottenham lost their third game in five as Leicester City ran our 2-1 winners at the King Power on Tuesday evening.
Jamie Vardy opened the scoring, lobbing Hugo Lloris with a fine first-time effort with just 13 minutes on the clock.
The visitors grew into the game with Harry Kane, Moussa Sissoko and Dele Alli all going close – the latter two perhaps should have done better – only for Riyad Mahrez to net a curling effort just before the break.
Spurs improved during the second half as Leicester retreated further back, and Kane grabbed a deserved goal with 11 minutes left on the clock after being fed by Erik Lamela with only the Argentine’s third touch, but still fell to a fourth defeat of the season.
