Troops of the Nigerian Army have successfully neutralized four bandits and rescued 20 kidnapped persons in separate operations across Birnin Gwari and Giwa Local Government Areas of Kaduna State.

The operations were carried out by troops of Operation Forest Sanity and Operation Whirl Punch, who conducted special clearance operations and fighting patrols in the areas.

In the first operation, troops set up a blocking force and pursued bandits around Kwaga, neutralizing two bandits and recovering two AK-47 rifles, three magazines, three motorcycles, and one Baofeng Radio.

In the second operation, troops laid an ambush along a likely terrorist withdrawal route, engaging and neutralizing two bandits. They also recovered two motorcycles, one cutlass, and one mobile phone, and rescued 20 kidnapped victims, reuniting them with their families.
