Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has responded to a widely circulated AI-generated image that portrays him in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
The image, shared on X (formerly Twitter) by a user with the handle @Sarkideyforyou in December 2024, depicted the cleric dressed in a traditional Islamic thawb, standing before the Kaabah. The caption read: “Pastor Adeboye, may Allah guide you to the right path.”
The post quickly went viral, garnering over 3.8 million views, 1,500 reposts, 1,800 comments, and 4,000 likes.
Addressing the issue during the first Holy Ghost Night of 2025, Adeboye acknowledged the viral image and warned that mockery against Christians and believers would increase in the new year.
“Mockers will be more aggressive this year,” Adeboye said. “Many of them will not survive the year; however, God does not want the death of sinners.”
He directly referenced the AI-generated image, saying, “I am sure many of you saw that picture showing me as an Alhaji.”
