The Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) has just established a new Directorate of Energy Security to tackle Nigeria’s energy supply concerns.
To lead this new directorate, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Ojukaye Amachree as the Director of Energy Security.
Amachree brings over 20 years of experience in business, politics, and energy sector engagement, particularly in the Niger Delta. His role will involve overseeing national energy security initiatives, strengthening community participation in safeguarding energy resources, and working closely with various stakeholders to address Nigeria’s energy challenges.
This appointment underscores President Tinubu’s commitment to strengthening energy security and resilience while addressing supply chain concerns.
The National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, has congratulated Amachree on his appointment, highlighting the importance of this new role in ensuring a stable and sustainable energy supply for all Nigerians.
