In the last four years, award winning Nigerian rapper and boss of YBNL Records, Olamide has consistently released an album every year.
In 2011, he dropped his debut album, Rapsodi, he followed up with his sophomore album, YBN in 2012 while he treated fans to his 3rd album, Baddest Guy Ever Liveth in 2013. Continuing his consistent streak, he released his latest album, Street OT in 2014, making it 4 albums in 4 years.
With this in mind, fans of the rapper are already anticipating his 5th studio album at some point this year and in a recent question and answer session on Twitter, the rapper was asked if he has plans of dropping a new album this year and he simply responded: ‘I don’t know yet.’
The rapper’s response, which does not confirm or rule out anything, cannot be translated into the fact that he will not eventually release an album. It will be recalled that he said he was not ready to drop an album in 2014 but the persistent demand by marketers led him to eventually drop the Street OT in the end.
