Brig.-Gen. Sule Zakari Kazaure, the Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has warned corps members against attending night parties during their service year.

Corps members should desist from attending night parties and shun all forms of social vices.

Try to be good ambassadors of your families in the camps and in places of your primary assignment.

The future of the country is your hands, so, try to be good citizens and make Nigeria great,’’ he said.

Kazaure said that corps members should consider themselves as members of one family irrespective of their backgrounds.

The NYSC boss also urged NYSC members to respect cultures and traditions of their host communities for peaceful coexistence in the country.

He advised them to be hard working and contribute to community development projects in their host communities during their primary assignment.

There is no short cut to success in life, work diligently, identify the need of your host community and see what contributions you can offer,’’ he said.

He said the Federal Government was committed to providing all forms of support to make them self-reliant after the service.

Kazaure said that government was committed to protect their security and welfare packages in order to boost their morale for effective service delivery.
